The group that wins the tender to privatize IMI will receive between 1 to 1.5 Billion shekels from the State for the remediation of contaminated soil. The benefits to IMI will include construction and relocation to new factories in Ramat Beka in the Negev region. Today this Ramat Beka area in the Negev is used as the testing ground for IMI. The soil contamination in the Sharon is planned to be completely remediated by 2020 and the area is intend as a residential area.
